HANG#P

Hang #P_San Giovanni d'Asso (SI)   margarete 2014

This renovation project of an ex industrial building targeted a new double residential space in Tuscany.
The scheme was born in order to create a comfortable double housing area inside the multifunctional factory architecture. For this reason the HANG#P is right beside Hang#J house.

On the other side of the free open space we put a many-sided compact bock - called the night box - whose lines run in parallel with the building guidelines.

The living space atmosphere is bring about by the building actual colours and by the new fixed furniture that are covered by several multi-coloured wooden bark bands.  The living room looks toward the extraordinary landscape and the long infinity pool that is designed to mirror the Tuscan sky.

The night box shell looks like a white, fancy rarity: it is ready to open and to reveal the technological equipment.

The underground floor, usually a repairing space, becomes a small cellar covered by the unique piece of furniture made of multi-sided glass that is used as a bar top.

The head and the tile of the night box lodge two sleeping rooms which are furnished by tailor-made wooden pieces and which are linked by a long shower deck gradually overlooking different bathrooms.

One of the night box facets, that is made of glass, allow the view toward the concrete beams and lets the light to announce the occupant presence.

Sliding glass doors closing breaks in the passage line and seals off the different bath rooms, shutting the view between the two rooms.

An outdoor shower made of the same marble of the internal showers faces the bath.
